Our legacy company was established in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1989 with the formation of James M. Myers Research, Inc., an investment boutique specializing in value-oriented and alternative strategies. In 2004, our company was acquired by WealthTrust, LLC, an investment management holding company with collectively $6 billion in affiliated assets. In 2009, the firm returned to its roots as an independent investment adviser when its managing principals purchased all outstanding ownership interest from WealthTrust and formed Kingfisher Capital, LLC. As part of the transaction, all of the firm principals and employees remained with the firm.
